St. Moritz i sone of the most amazing places that i have been too and been able to slide on! The track is so smooth and i know from first hand experience as i crashed there and slid on my stomach without my sled under me for a couple of curves. Towards the bottom of the track you know that you are going so fast and just holding on for dear life. It was a pretty good week that we were there even with my crashing moments! But i love the track!!!

Where did 2008 go????
Wow so 2008 went by all to fast there have been oh so very many things that happened so i'm going to do a quick year in review...
~ as always we started off the year right with the New Years Day dinner, it was Haley's first time
~ i competed in the America's Cup tour and medaled in most of the race
~ i had purple hair for a while, which turned to pink, and then silver. Quite fun!
~ Haley turned 23 and we had a great party at our house in which i baked the most amazing cake
~ i competed in Jr. World Championships in Igls, Austria and loved it
~ in our old house the ceiling collapsed in my bedroom and i slept on the couch for a few week or at Brad and Kimbers house as their adopted little sis
~ our baby moose at the UOP came to stop by a few times by my office
~ i turned 22. Had a nice dinner with family and friends
~ went to NYC with Annie after our last America's Cup race and stayed with her family for a few days in Long Island
~ went to San Fransisco with Bryce's orchestra tour as a 'chaperone' ( i was the kids favorite!)
~ Bryce started driving
~ got a good work day in fixing up Grandma Joy's house
~ Bryce made my back window explode with a tiller :)
~ i went to Arizona to stay with Val and Dentons kids for a few days
~ Haley got baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (June 7th)
~ Haley and i moved closer to the U
~ took a road trip with mom and Ciara to San Diego. They drove down with me so i would not be alone on the drive
~ i spent 2 1/2 months in San Diego training at the Olympic Training Center
~ i made some really good friends that have kept me going through the rough patch of the season so far
~ i split my chin open and got stitches for the first time
~ got to spend a lot of good fun times with Austin and his wife Regina
~ Haley started Law school at the U
~ Micah started walking
~ went back to Lake Placid for team trials
~ the Skeleton season started back up again and i competed in America's Cup and the Europa Cup
There were oh so very many other things that happened and it is just so hard to believe that another year has come again. I will be turning 23 in just a couple of months and that is sooo scary for some reason. I still love where i am in life, but growing up is a strange feeling! I am so very excited for the things that i have in my life! I have some really good friends and an amazing family! Thanks Haley for being my person even from across the world! Mom you know that i will always look to you for help in everything! You always know when something is going on even when i hide it very well!
I can't wait for the fun adventure that 2009 will bring! There are oh so very many things that I already can't wait to happen!

Updates...
So it has been a while since i last wrote anything and updated the things that are going on in my life... Team trials have been over for a while now and they were a little rougher than i had hoped for. The track was a little faster than all of us had imagined it would be and we were all smashing ourselves all over the place. I ended up losing my sled the 4th day of sliding in Shady. Boy did that one hurt! I was out for a couple of days and was still having some trouble with my arm, so i had to get an x-ray and nothing really showed up on it but something else was just not quite right... i ended up having a subluxed radial head (kinda dislocated part of my elbow) the trainers popped it back into place and the swelling finally started going down after that. Trials came and went and i was utterly frustrated with my sliding and could not figure out what in the world was going on so....my sled ended up being bent and there was NO helping it. So my dad and Randy being the best in the world pulled an all nighter in order for me to get my new sled for a race in Canada. It took some time but really enjoying my new sled very much so. The race in Calgary was interesting also. The first day of racing i pushed out of the groove and there was no coming back from that. I took 16th place the first day and also got the luckiness of my name being drawn for a drug test. Way fun!! The second day went a bit better i didn't pop the groove and got some good testing on my sled.
Onto family... There has been much excitement on that front. Matthew moved and a few weeks ago and will be getting married on the 3rd of January. He will be getting married in Midway, UT with an open house on the 17th. I get home on the 22nd so i will be home for the wedding but will be back over in Europe for the open house. Ciara is turning 14 tomorrow! I can not even begin to believe how old she and Bryce are getting. Time is really flying with everyone and i'm not sure that i'm ok with it. MaLese is due any day now with her first little girl :) I'm still not sure of how i feel about the either...but i'm excited to be an aunt in a sort of way! Micah i over a year old and getting smarter by the second. My goal before i left was to have him say my name... he is getting very close so everyone you need to practice with him so when I get home he can do it!
There will be more updates if not this week next week for sure!
Love you all! Mom, Haley, C-Babe... have a good week and keep me posted on thing!!

6 Insignificant things About Myself...
Haley tagged me in her blog to write 6 insignificant things about myself. I don't usually do these cuz i can never think of things but i'm going to really really try! So here goes...
1. Before i go on any trip i have to lay out everything that i want to take and then take at least one thing out of every pile. (that way i don't over pack because i know i won't wear everything i take)
2. Last Friday was the first time that I have ever actually hurt my arm and hand doing Skeleton. I always felt bad for people that have hit their hands sliding but now i really know how is feels and it is not so good!!
3. Every time i crash doing Skeleton i buy myself something to help make me feel better. I still have to buy something from my crash on Friday...but i'm still taking ideas... My first crash about 4 years ago i bought a bag. When i crashed in Altenberg i went to Dresden and bought a whole outfit! So my idea it that i don't really want to buy things for this particular reason so hopefully i don't crash very often...
4. I organize my closet by the length of things. (shirt sleeve length, skirts, pants, and jackets)
5. I get bored with my hair. So i change it quite often! I have not dyed my hair since March and that has been the longest time i have gone without doing anything in about 3 years.
6. When my watch battery dies for some reason i like to just buy a new one instead... therefore i have a lot of watches because i always like to change things.
Ok so that is that. I would 'tag' people to do this but the only people who read my blog are Haley, Steph, and my Mom and they have already done this...

Tis the Season
The season officially started yesterday, and wow it is bitter-sweet to be back.... I got to Lake Placid on Saturday after a long day of traveling and 3 planes. Sunday was a nice day off to just get ready and prepare for Monday. Kimber and i had breakfast with Kim in the morning, which was so nice to see her and catch up again! It is nice to have some home when i am here training. She is such a great friend that i miss so much everytime i leave here!!!
Today was our 2nd day of training and so far everything is going alright. I only have a few bumps and bruises so far (but it's still early) which is nice. My neck today got a little sore and tomorrow i'm sure is going to be worse! The game we play for team trials is so interesting every year. It's fun to have the whole team together every October, remember fun stories from years past, and just have fun at the track no matter the weather cuz that changes at a moments notice! This year has been good just spending time training in Chula and then having a few weeks home before coming out here. I didn't want to get too stressed before i even got here and successfully think i did that! Even now i'm just having fun and not over thinking things so far (hopefully i can continue that trend). We only have a total of 8 sliding days and then we race so it is good and bad. Good in that i don't have too much time to over think things, and bad in the same way that i don't have as much time to test things... Time is just flying here, and now i'm off the the gym to pump some iron HAHA
